As of AUGUST 1, 2008 “Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts,
CACF had to CANCEL this years parade. We unfortunately regret having to make
this announcement but we were left with limited options. We hope this does
not inconvenience you and we apologize for this late notice.” The Festival Is On -
August 16-17, 2008

Please Disregard The Below Listed Information
The Central Area Community Festival is kicking
off its 2008 festival with its annual parade.
The date and time is Saturday, August 16th starting at
12:00 pm and concluding at about 2pm. The parade route starts at 23rd
Avenue and East Union travel southbound on 23rd Avenue to East
Cherry, turning eastbound onto East Cherry passing the Garfield Community
Center and festival grounds that will also stage the parade’s review stand.
The parade will continue east on East Cherry where it will turn southbound
onto Temple at ML King Way where it will conclude.
2008 Central Area Community Festival
grounds will open 12 PM on this Saturday, August 16th
If you are interested in being a participant or
volunteering for this parade then please complete the following information
and forward that information to CACF. We look forward to your interest and
participation.

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY PLEASE
READ CAREFULLY: In consideration of participating in the Central Area
Community Festival and or the SEAFAIR Foundation, I, intending to be legally bound,
do hereby for myself, executors and administrators waive, release and forever
discharge any and all rights and claims for damages, including any claims of
loss, damages or injury to my person or property arising out of my
participating in the Central Area Community Festival and or the SEAFAIR
Foundation, the owners of any event sites, any volunteers, their agents,
representatives successors and assigns. I
hereby consent to allow my picture or likeness to appear in any official
document, sponsor advertisement and/or television coverage of the Central
Area Community Festival without compensation to me. I have read this waiver
and knowing these facts I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors,
administrators or anyone else who might claim on my behalf, covenant not to
sue and waive, release and discharge volunteers, suppliers, agents,
employees, and other personnel in any way assisting or connected with the
events from any and all claims or liability of any kind or nature whatsoever
arising out of my participation, even though that liability may arise out of
negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or parties named in
this waiver.
